Runesmithing, Rune Artistry
This ancient craft was guarded and developed by the sages of ancient civilizations. It allowed the runesmiths to channel the essence of magic in the form of mystical symbols, the runes, and transfer them to objects and places that were normally immune to magical influences. The origins of runesmithing were shrouded in legend. It was said that the original runesmiths were taught by the gods themselves. They developed the art to protect places where nature itself rejected magic in order to connect these places with the wisdom of the ages. Their smithing skills could open magical doors, channel energy into weapons and bring healing to places ravaged by disease and decay. The runes used by the Artificers serve as carriers for magical energies and instructions. By engraving these runes on items or otherwise affixing them, they can create a variety of effects, including spells, status enhancements or other magical properties.
