Description
In a bygone era, when the world was still imbued with a powerful and vibrant magic, there was a now lost art called rune magic. The runesmiths were masters at engraving the runes on the surfaces of stones, weapons, jewellery and artefacts. Their work was admired and respected throughout the world. Over time, however, the runesmiths' guilds began to dwindle. The magic that once ruled the world gradually disappeared and the art of runesmithing was considered extinct. The few remaining masters of this ancient art passed on their knowledge to selected students to ensure that the art of runesmithing did not disappear into the darkness of oblivion. The few remaining masters told stories of the mighty temples adorned with runes and of the places where rune magic was used to save the world. These ancient stories were dismissed as myths, and people began to doubt the power of the runes. Times changed, and the world changed, while the ancient art of runesmithing faded into the shadows of history. Yet even today, in the remote corners of the world, some remember the wonders that rune magic performed and hope for a day when this lost art will rise again to bless the world with magic and protection once more.
