The Age of Reclamation 200 years before Malnaar's captivity, in a time when the world was emerging from under the shadow of dragon tyranny.
Following the fall of the dragon overlords, a period known as the Era of the Pirates began. During this time, people seized newfound freedoms and took to the seas, forming pirate fleets that roamed far and wide. These pirates, driven by both vengeance against their former oppressors and a thirst for adventure, engaged in widespread robbing, pillaging, and conquering new territories. Coastal settlements were frequently attacked and either razed or taken over. The era saw fierce naval battles, alliances formed out of necessity among pirate factions, and an explosion of maritime exploration as maps were redrawn to include newly discovered lands.
The Era of the Pirates significantly reshaped political boundaries and social structures. It led to an increase in cultural exchanges due to interactions between diverse groups. The constant state of conflict forced advancements in naval technology and combat strategies. However, it also resulted in long-lasting scars on many communities which faced repeated raids. This turbulent period eventually paved the way for new forms of governance as people sought stability after years of chaos.
